Loughton Scout Group

Up for a challenge? Extreme sport - silhouette of a climber. Some of our hardy Scouts donned their boots and took on the challenge of hiking from Hanslope to Cosgrove for the Annual District Night Hike. A little lost at the start but were soon put right and made it back safe and sound. Loughton should be a little tidier now after a small army of litter pickers from Loughton Scout Group combed the streets to remove many bags of litter in conjunction with Loughton and Great Holm NAG. Game on for Scouts.

Roman Villa, Bancroft Park. Today we went to a place called Bancroft Park to see a Roman Villa. We went on our bikes to get there and we rode about 6 and a bit miles. All we could see of the villa were stones sticking out of the ground in a square shape. There was also a big square hole with a bit of water inside it, but there was in some places with no water. The mosaic that we previously photographed in the shopping center, came from here. Sunday, 23 January 2011.
